Summer Series 2026–2027
Incorporating the Gold Cup, Club Championship, Multihull Pointscore and QCYC Summer Series racing.
Summer Racing at QCYC
Queensland Cruising Yacht Club’s summer racing season begins in September with the Bribie Cup Yacht Race and continues through a programme of bay racing, heritage events, night racing and major offshore events.
The Flag Officers’ Series comprises three races over the weekend of 17–18 October 2026, with two races on Saturday and the final race and presentations on Sunday. The four-race Bramble Bay Series follows over two weekends: 7–8 and 28–29 November 2026.
The Heritage Series begins with the Ken O’Brien Memorial on 27 February 2027, followed by the Pearl Channel Race on 28 February and the Life Members Race and series presentations on 13 March.
Eligible races contribute towards the Club Championship, Multihull Pointscore and Gold Cup competitions. The Gold Cup also incorporates the QCYC Night Race Series and the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race.
Flag Officers’ Series
17–18 October 2026. The Rear Commodore and Vice Commodore races are both on Saturday 17 October; the Commodore race and series presentations are on Sunday 18 October.
Bramble Bay Series
Four races over 7–8 and 28–29 November 2026, with one race each day. Series presentations follow Race 4 on Sunday 29 November.
Heritage Series
Ken O’Brien Memorial: 27 February 2027. Pearl Channel Race: 28 February 2027. Life Members Race and series presentations: 13 March 2027, with a 1000 hrs monohull start.
Night Race Series
Four races conducted in conjunction with the Kingfisher Bay Resort Night Race Series: 24 October and 21 November 2026, then 20 February and 20 March 2027.
Club Championship
Season-long competition incorporating eligible QCYC summer races for monohulls and multihulls.
Gold Cup
QCYC’s extended monohull competition incorporating Club Championship races, Night Series racing and the Brisbane to Gladstone.
Life Members Race: 1000 hrs
1800 for 1900 hrs

Standard monohull starts for races covered by the Summer Series NOR & SI are 1100 hrs, except the Life Members Race at 1000 hrs. Multihulls start five minutes after the monohull start signal. Night races start at 1500 hrs. Refer to the applicable NOR & SI and notices to competitors for race instructions and any changes.
Bribie Cup, Kingfisher Night Series and Brisbane to Gladstone are covered by separate Notices of Race and Sailing Instructions.

Summer Series races are open to eligible QCYC members and visiting competitors. Championship and Gold Cup points are awarded to eligible QCYC competitors in accordance with the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions.
Entrants must complete the online entry process and provide the required safety audit and insurance documentation. Competitors should read the current Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions before entering.
