75 Years of the Bribie Cup
First contested in 1952, the Bribie Cup is one of Queensland Cruising Yacht Club’s longest-running sailing events. In 2026, the Club celebrated the 75th running of this much-loved Moreton Bay race.
The 2026 fleet competed across Division 1 Monohull, Division 1 Classic Monohull, Division 2 Monohull and the Multihull Division, including the introduction of a dedicated Classic division for eligible classic and vintage yachts.

The Race
The fleet started off Shorncliffe before heading north past Redcliffe Jetty and Scarborough Point, across Deception Bay, and finishing near Bongaree Jetty on Bribie Island.
The course provided another memorable day of Moreton Bay racing and spectacular scenery for the 75th running of this historic Queensland sailing event.

2026 Presentation Day

Competitors, family and friends returned to Queensland Cruising Yacht Club following the race for the presentation of trophies and prizes.
The presentation weekend brought the 75th Bribie Cup celebrations to a close at the Club’s Shorncliffe marina.
